After qualifying as an architect in 1962, Joseph G Quigley worked in both public and private practices before starting his own company JG Quigley Architect in 1968.
As the company reputation grew David McKelvie became a partner of JG Quigley & Partners in 1973. The practice accrued many accolades none more so than Gerry being made a Fellow of The Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland (RIAS) in 1991. The successful duo continued until their retirement in 2000.
Gerry’s son Graeme Quigley RIAS RIBA has owned and ran Quigley Architects since 2000, working with his brother Dominic Quigley RIAS RIBA and drawing on the invaluable experience of Gerry as a consultant. Quigley Architects is Inverclyde’s oldest architecture practice.
