History

After qualifying as an architect in 1962, Joseph G Quigley worked in both public and private practices before starting his own company JG Quigley Architect in 1968.
As the company’s reputation grew David McKelvie became a partner of JG Quigley & Partners in 1973. The practice accrued many accolades none more so than Gerry being made a Fellow of The Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland in 1991. The successful duo continued as Quigley Associates until their retirement in 2000.
Gerry’s son Graeme Quigley RIAS RIBA took over the practice and drawing from the invaluable experience of his father as a consultant he has continued the ethos of exemplary professional service and design nuance for each client.
Looking towards a sustainable future, Quigley Architects has moved into their purpose built accommodation which encapsulates their design methodology of reinvigorating old buildings in a modern context.
Quigley Architects is Inverclyde’s oldest chartered architecture practice and celebrates its 50th anniversary having successfully completed a diverse range of buildings throughout the central belt and west coast of Scotland.
